The Next Big Thing blog hop

I was tagged to be part of The Next Big Thing blog hop by my friend and author, Rebecca Sweeney Graf whom I meant in the mix of a lot of great authors that I have grown to love.

Ten Interview Questions for the Next Big Thing:

What is your working title of your book?

The name of my next book is "Five year old death", it will be the first book I have done that is not poetry.

Where did the idea come from for the book?

The book is going to be based on my childhood and adulthood, in and out of foster care until the age of fourteen when I was finally placed with the people who I consider my parents.

What genre does your book fall under?

"Five year old death" is about struggles, conflict ions, real life, empowerment to restart life

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

I have never thought about it before, if this book ever made it that far I would want the actress to get to know the real person behind the book so I guess anyone who would really want to play the part to the best of their ability after meeting me and reading the book before the screen play.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

I have tried to make everyone else's life pretty with a pink ribbon, I am left to wonder "did they see me"

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

It will be through myself and a dear friend who I am now working with in starting our own publishing and advertising company.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

I am still working on it

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

The closest would be "Heaven" by V.C Andrews

Who or what inspired you to write this book?

As many other people I have realized that we as humans allow other people or our past to dictate our lives and we settle for less than we deserve because we are to scared to fight for what we want, which in my case is to put my past in the ground once and for all. I have always loved to write but it was a very dear man Earnest Beckelheimer who taught me that life could be so much more if I would just stop fearing what was always hidden within my soul, he is also the one who talked me into publishing so he is a big part of my life and dreams coming true.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

This book is about a childhood that would of been better not lived but in the end when all else is said and done it is the turmoils in our lives that makes us who we are, we can let our past dictate and destroy our futures or we can make a new beginning and live for today instead of yesterday.

A NEW BEGINNING IS BETTER THAN AN OLD ENDING!

I am now tagging five fabulous writers

Josephine Ranes, author of four poetry books and one of my very closest friends even though a cyber friend hehe

Jason Mueller, a writer of booooooo zombies and I really believe he will be one of the best upcoming authors of fictional writing.

Jennifer Gunn, another great friend who writes of the dark side. A determined woman just as I am

Carlus Wilmot, I cannot say enough about this man. He struggled through the life of a man addicted to drugs and came out on top, through his words we see how weakness can be turned into strength and empowerment and I really really love him and am so very proud of the leader he has become.

Uvi Poznansky, A woman I have just meant that shows the power of her heart through the words she scribes.
