Eyes upon me, what do you see?
A torn soul, a heart that has been
used.
Hands on my skin, what can you feel?
A shake of my flesh, scared to be once
again touched.
A smile to share with me, what do you
see? A tremble in my lips, not even can
I trust this.
Arms as we embrace, what do you feel?
My heart race trying to enjoy this moment,
but scared from it.
My mind turning in directions only I can see,
trying to convince me to let my heart live the
rest of its life in misery, loving you to only hurt
me.
Real life can sometimes bring out the best or worse in people. Writing/reading can help you understand the difference.
